One Great Find
After about three years of searching destinations for miles and miles in different directions and viewing countless buildings, we still did not have a location or a building. We did not know exactly what we wanted but we had seen a lot we didn't. Finally, our persistence paid off. With the help of some locals, we were led to an aging, almost forgotten piece of our past. What was once the core of a community was weathered and deteriorating. The old Cotton Depot in Clinton SC quietly sits on the edge of downtown. From the moment we walked into the building, it spoke to us, 17,000 square feet of handmade brick each telling a story, 11ft ceilings with exposed beams, arched windows, and wide-planked floors. A place where many dreams and aspirations had been made and will be again. We had found our diamond in the rough.
